Revista - Jade Jagger's Secret Garden
Jade Jagger can now add restaurateur to her fashionable CV - the designer has just launched her own eaterie in Turkey. The restaurant, named Secret Garden, is part of the newly refurbished luxury club Halikarnas in Bodrum - a long-serving hotspot for royals and the jet-setting elite ( Yves Saint Laurent and Princess Margaret were once regulars).
"I learnt to cook at a really early age and good food and great flavours are hugely important to me," Jagger told us. "The Secret Garden's chef Nicholas Le Toumelin has created a menu that nods to his own French heritage, but also reflects the location by the sea in Bodrum."
Jagger designed the garden herself, creating something that she felt would "appeal to a sophisticated diner". Husband Adrian Fillary made the project a family affair, producing the restaurant's logo.
"We used soft pinks and greys in the tiled floor, with a fantastic gold VVIP booth that houses the most amazing bespoke Turkish crystal chandelier that makes the place look pretty spectacular at night," Jagger explained. "The elegant planting gives the area a sense of peace which works incredibly well considering it's part of a huge nightclub."
