News - LA with Temper Heart
In the next instalment of our 'local soul' series, we spend 24 hours with LA-based British singer and songwriter, Temper Heart...
We’ve got 24 hours here, Temper Heart, what should we do?
"Timing is everything here in LA because of the traffic! However the amazing thing about his place is that you can be in the mountains and the beach in the same day. In the morning I would venture out early for breakfast on Larchmont Blvd, the chances of spotting someone of notoriety is big and it happens to be my local! Then I would head to Santa Monica beach to take a stroll along the waterfront. The palm trees and the mini cliffs on the edge of the Pacific are powerful to be near. You could stop in at the Ivy for lunch (book beforehand). For all its fame it really is very quaint and unlike anywhere else you may have been. Afterwards I would make my way back into the city, perhaps do a light hike up to the Hollywood sign from Beechwood Canyon and from there go to Griffith's Observatory for the early evening gaze up to the stars and a spectacular view across the whole of Los Angeles. For the evening, La Poubelle in Franklin Village is lovely little french restaurant to unwind and celebrate your day."
