Got a taste for ethics? Pop to San Francisco to check out the latest exhibition at the Museum of Craft and Design. Wheat Is Wheat Is Wheat: Peddy Mergui is an exploration design and ethics; in a field devoted to bringing shape to an idea which is then frequently recruited to serve economic interests (mostly without any moral consideration) what is the designer’s role? We all love to see the norm turned on it's head - and this exhibition has a great sense of humour in packaging everyday objects with luxury brands. Would you be more likely to be a Nike orange or Apple Milk?

Here at YOO we love anything that creates a sense of community spirit, particularly in a huge, fast moving city like New York, where it can be hard to maintain. So it's great to see Latin spirit celebrated at The Bronx Museum of the Arts this year where the New York Restoration Project (NYRP), in partnership with the Urban Air Foundation, has enlisted TEN Arquitectos and engineers Buro Happold to re-imagine the traditional casita as a modular kit. Casita, in Spanish means “little house” and is the social centrepiece and focal point of many community gardens in Puerto Rico.

Flowers - the most natural source of vibrance, colour, texture and inspiration for all architects and designers. They are a spectacular example of form following function and artists from across the globe have copied and intepreted individual flowers, bouquest and gardens since time immemorial, and in all forms of design. This exhibition showcases outstanding works from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day that collectively illustrate the evolution of floral ornament in modern and contemporary art and design.
